The Church Age Has Closed — Who Revelation Is Speaking To

Compiled by End of Days Prophet

The Church Age closed on 17 September 2018, at the completion of the 6,000 prophetic years reserved for the days of the hireling on this earth. This date is intricately encoded within the Word of God, as covered in our article [Days of a Hireling – the coming end of the Age].

If the Church Age is now over, what age do we currently live in? Have we entered the final millennial reign headed by Jesus Christ? This article is primarily a warning: we must shed the shackles of the churches we once belonged to and look directly to Him as spoken in the Word of God. We now live in a transitional phase, the Age of Grace — that age whereby the restrainer has been removed, but a reserved time specifically for those who wish to seek the Lord and fully repent of their sins. This is the final window of opportunity to fully repent, to turn away from the flesh nature, and submit ourselves to Christ before the opening of the seventh seal in 2030 and the moment of silence that precedes the wrath of the Almighty.

“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom” (Psalm 90:12).

The words of the Psalmist are especially relevant. If we are not aware of the precise time in which we live, how can we make ourselves ready for the ultimate return of Jesus Christ? How can we be like those virgins who were prepared with extra oil before the great and final banquet?

The End of the Church Age

This structural end of time coincided with the final 120th jubilee of jubilees (120 jubilees × 50 years = 6,000 years), which marked both the close of the Church Age and the end of the allotted time for mankind on earth according to the biblical count. Had it not been for the prophecies of Daniel, this extended period of Grace we now live in would not exist—yet most remain unaware of this truth.

The letters John sent to the seven churches are prophetic in their proclamations, but these assemblies are never mentioned again after chapter three of Revelation. It is imperative that we understand their targeted meanings so that we may be fully prepared as we live out this final epoch. [the Seven Churches of Revelation Revealed]

It should come as no surprise that these same institutions are currently under severe duress, having lost the divine power once bestowed upon them. There is no eighth church in the strict sense of the letter, but the title “End of Days Church” might well apply to a fragmented remnant dispersed throughout the ends of the earth. Although the following groups listed later in this article might loosely be described as this same End of Days Church—bound by the love of Jesus Christ—the four groups are distinct and separate. And these are the groups chosen to withstand these final days, the days at the opening of the seventh seal and beyond, destined to form the structure of what is to come: the thousand-year reign of Jesus Christ on earth and the New Kingdom, fulfilling the true Gospel of Good News. Will you be included as one of them, one of that “little flock” who will forever remian His?

The Age of Grace

Following the close of the Church Age on 17 September 2018, the Lord revealed that this Age of Grace was established purely for the purpose God has for all of us: an additional, measured time to repent — a transitional phase. It has opened a narrow window of opportunity for mankind to become right with God. As the Scripture says, each individual must work out his own salvation with fear and trembling, and this short span provides that final opportunity. As Isaiah declared: “Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near” (Isaiah 55:6).

In Scripture this period is known as “a time, times, and half a time”—yet it does not signify what is commonly taught. This is not a standard seven-year timeline. It unfolds as three specific biblical segments in which a single “time” equals exactly 1,260 days. Together, this divine calculation totals 4,410 days. When the Book of Revelation is read precisely as it is written, this countdown culminates directly with the opening of the seventh seal, marking the ultimate redemption from the earth of the 144,000—the Body of overcomers which is Israel, the Body that belongs to its Head, Jesus Christ. With the parameters established, it does not present too much of a difficulty to work out the precise date the seventh seal is due to be opened, that date being October 14th 2030, almost precisely four years from the date of this article.

Crucially, this redemption is not the catching up described in 1 Thessalonians 4—a massive mistake many popular commentators make. That gathering in the clouds occurs much later, when those who sleep are finally raised at the end of the thousand years. And it is for this reason it is critically important to differentiate between these four specific groups, to avoid confusion, and not to get them mixed up so that we are not deceived. And it is these four groups Jesus is speaking to, each holding a specific function during this time of great distress over the world, both just before and after the opening of that final seal.

The Four Groups of Revelation

1. The Body of Christ — the 144,000

Foremost among these groups is the Body of Christ, explicitly named in both Revelation 7 and Revelation 14. In chapter seven we see them securely sealed before any destruction touches the earth—exactly twelve thousand assigned by the angel from each of the twelve tribes of Israel. This sealing is a literal marking, a divine safeguard ensuring they can endure the trials ahead while remaining entirely under God’s ownership.

By chapter fourteen the landscape shifts as they stand directly with the Lamb on Mount Sion. Scripture clarifies that they are redeemed from the earth and from among men, rather than being caught up into the clouds. Here they learn a sacred song unique to them alone and follow the Lamb wherever He goes. This is not the portrait of a desperate people hiding out in a wilderness; it is the reality of a company already taken and standing in His immediate presence.

These are the true overcomers drawn out of the closed Church Age. They constitute Israel in the spiritual sense of the word—a meaning that truly matters, completely separate from the political and theological debates so relentlessly argued about today. They are those Jews whose praise is of God, as stated in Romans: “For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God” (Romans 2:28–29).

Under this divine mercy, a man once classified as a Gentile among the nations is written into this registry of the twelve tribes, just as a Jew in the flesh who has come to follow Him. Indeed, His grace extends to people of any background or faith who are willing to renounce their old religions and praise Him and follow the Lamb. Because of this devotion, they leave after the sixth seal is opened but before the wrath that follows the seventh seal, returning alongside the Head when He is finally revealed. Relatively speaking, this number is small—a little people, the very group Jesus comforted when He said, “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32).

This is the true Body of Jesus Christ that goes up; they are emphatically not the woman who remains and not part of the catching up of 1 Thessalonians 4 which occurfs at the end of the millenial reign.

2. The Bride

In stark contrast to the Body, the Bride is represented by the woman of Revelation 12 and the remnant of her seed. Her experience on earth is defined by intense struggle: we see her in travail, bringing forth life, fleeing into exile, and ultimately being given a specific sanctuary in the wilderness where she is nourished for a thousand two hundred and threescore days. It is here, on the earth, that the dragon makes relentless war with the remnant of her seed—those who steadfastly keep the commandments of God and come to know and believe the true testimony of Jesus Christ.

This is certainly not the language used to describe a triumphant group already standing securely on Mount Sion with the Lamb. This is the language of a people who remain on the ground—still here, still divinely kept, and still deeply hated by the enemy.

She represents Judah in the flesh: those who steadfastly kept the commandments even after the Church Age had officially closed, refusing to take the mark of the beast. Out of this specific lineage a chosen remnant emerges who comes to accept the true testimony that Jesus is the Messiah. It is crucial to understand that the whole house is not the remnant; rather, the remnant consists strictly of those within that house who willingly add the testimony of Jesus to the commandments they have already faithfully kept. This Bride is the remnant left waiting on the earth. She does not ascend with the 144,000, but is instead divinely shielded through the opening of the seventh seal. She is the very one for whom the Body ultimately returns.

To truly understand this mystery, one must place these two prophetic pictures side by side. On one hand, we are shown a company that is sealed and immediately recognized as fully redeemed, standing triumphantly on the Mount with the Lamb. On the other hand, we witness a woman who remains on the earth, hidden away in a wilderness sanctuary while the dragon desperately seeks her destruction before turning his fury upon her seed.

The logic is absolute: if the 144,000 were the Bride, she would already be standing in His presence, leaving no woman behind on earth to be nourished for those 1,260 days. Conversely, if the Bride were the 144,000, she could not possibly be fleeing in terror after that very company has already been unveiled in glory upon Mount Sion. The two timelines simply cannot be forced into one.

A husband, after all, does not marry himself. In the divine order, the Body must first ascend to be fully united with the Head. It is only after this union that the Head and the Body return together to the one who has been sheltered and kept on the earth. That sacred coming-together is the true consummation. The Bride, therefore, is the one left waiting on the ground—she is emphatically not the one who was already standing at His side from the beginning.

Ultimately, the Scriptures present us with two entirely distinct groups of people, existing in two completely separate places at the exact same moment in prophecy: one reigning with Him in glory, and one enduring below.

3. The Beheaded

Moving further into the prophetic timeline, we encounter those who are beheaded—a group named entirely separately from the others. Of them, John writes: “I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus… and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark…” (Revelation 20:4).

Chronologically, these individuals are alive on the earth after the seventh seal has opened, enduring those dark days alongside the Bride who is not yet redeemed. They refuse to worship the beast and take his mark. It is critical to note that after the seventh seal has opened there is a future time period of at least another three and a half years. This is known because the two witnesses appear and prophesy over the nations a further 1,260 days. The church, or what fragments are left from the Church Age, is all but gone, with the church buildings empty, the preaching of the Kingdom of the Gospel within them having been made a crime. Those that hold onto their distant memory after the opening of the final seal face a final three-and-a-half years of wrath, or great tribulation. They were not included as part of the redeemed 144,000, but because they endured in the face of evil and witnessed, giving testimony to Jesus Christ, they later became part of that same body. This distinct group pays the ultimate price under the Beast’s system while the Bride is divinely shielded in the wilderness. They had worked out their own salvation with their fierce endurance saving them, raised in the first resurrection to actively return and rule alongside the Body.

As it is written: “they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years… This is the first resurrection… they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years” (Revelation 20:4–6).

4. Those That Sleep

Finally, we come to those who die in the Lord—a company entirely separate from both the 144,000 and the Bride. Of them, Scripture pronounces a gentle benediction: “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth” (Revelation 14:13).

Unlike the active rulers of the millennium, this group enters a state of absolute rest. With their names securely written in the Book of Life, they wait patiently for the ultimate arrival of the new heaven and the new earth. This resting company encompasses two specific sets of believers: the dead in Christ during the Church Age who were not part of the sealed, living remnant, and those who receive the everlasting gospel during the final tribulation but pass away naturally—as men die—rather than under the executioner’s axe.

The long-awaited catching up in the clouds is exclusively theirs, occurring at the very end of the thousand years. As it is written, the dead in Christ must rise first, and only then will those who are alive and remain be caught up together with them in the air (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17). This event must not be confused—as almost every popular biblical scholar mistakenly does—with the separate, earlier redemption of the Body at the seventh seal.

The Nations and Final Judgement

Even after the glorious appearing of Jesus Christ, the nations of the earth are allowed to remain. Remember, creation was built for seven thousand years, a day representing a thousand, the final one being the day of rest with The Lord used to rule over the nations with an iron enabling this. The final thousand-year millennial reign is a period of strict, divine governance, so as to ultimately bring an end to their misery on earth as followers of the adversary. Bound under Christ’s government, they—the hard of heart who live in total disobedience—are permitted to rise up once more against the Most High, a rising up that can only be explained by their innate hatred of the things of God. This final rebellion ultimately dissolves into the Final Judgement, cleansing the cosmos and giving way to the permanent establishment of a New Heaven and a New Earth—where the will of God is perfectly fulfilled on earth as it is in heaven.

“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea” (Revelation 21:1).

Amen.
